Court verdict confirmed against filmmaker for her solidarity with sexual violence survivors

On 8 February, a court confirmed the verdict against filmmaker Salma El Tarzi, which ordered her to pay a compensation fine to film director Islam el-Azazi. Salma el-Tarzi had spoken out in defence of six women who had alleged rape, harassment and sexual assault at the hands of el-Azazi.
