March - April 2021: It was reported on the 26 March that a mayor from an opposition party was investigated at the request of the Interior Ministry over billboards supporting the Istanbul Convention. On 9 April, the Left Party was raided by police for displaying a poster contesting the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention and five people were said to have been detained.
