The form of backlash
Food ingredients maker Chr. Hansen Holding, one of the Nordic nation’s largest companies, stripped the rainbow colours off its logo and removed signs of LGBTQ support from its website and social media. The Denmark-based company took the action in response to what it called “serious threats and aggressive accusations” from anti-LGBTQ business customers in the US. The decision in turn triggered a backlash from Danish civil society.
