20 June 2021: TikTok influencers Haneen Hossam and Mowada al-Adham were sentenced to ten and six years in prison respectively, on the charge of human trafficking by Cairo Criminal Court. This is part of a wider trend of using morality and family values to crack down on women’s rights.
