On 6 May, news outlets reported that Jordan’s Media Commission had banned the film Dr Strange 2 as it was in contradiction with Jordanian societal values. It is understood that this refers to the inclusion of a gay character in the film. Dr Strange 2 has also been banned in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait.
