Several cases of sexual harassment and blackmail in Moroccan universities were reported by survivors on social media under the hashtag #MeTooUniv, which gained widespread condemnation and media attention under the headline ‘sex against good grades.’ The Association Démocratique des Femmes du Maroc (ADFM) was shocked by the statement issued by the National Union of Higher Education (SNESUP) in December, which they said showed solidarity with the alleged aggressors instead of the victims. ADFM denounced the Union for failing to take action to support the victims or call for investigations.
