Miss Italia refuses trans women in competition

Patrizia Mirigliani, patron of the Miss Italia competition, reiterated that there will be no opening to the participation of transgender people in the beauty contest, as contestants “must be born women”. Trans activist Vladimir Luxuria described this decision as “out of time”.
