19 January 2021: Journalist Solafa Magdy stated in court that she had been harassed and assaulted by police during detention. She recounted three instances of physical assault and harassment, including being forced to take off her clothes, beating, threats and a forced pelvic examination. She had been arrested in November 2019 and was released 17 months later in April 2021.
