Campaigns with hate-speech towards LGBTIQ+ individuals in Ireland, approved by social media platforms Facebook, Google and Tiktok (the former two based in Dublin, Ireland) were approved for publication. Even though these adverts did not go live, they did receive approval for publications from mentioned platforms, pointing towards a lack of protection from online violence towards LGBTIQ+ individuals. A call arises for the Irish government to take action and regulate the Irish-based companies.
