As of June 3, five Palestinian women journalists are detained in Israel's Damon prison, including Bushra Al Taweel, who has been imprisoned for the seventh time. Other detained journalists include: Ikhlas Sawalha, Bushra Al-Taweel, and Asmaa Harish, who are held without charge under administrative detention, and Rula Hassanein, detained on charges of "incitement." Additionally, journalist Somaya Jawabra is under house arrest with strict restrictions.
An independent human rights organisation in Ramallah reported that the Israeli occupation army has arrested 80 Palestinian journalists since its aggression against Gaza began on October 7 last year.
