In April, a lawsuit was brought against the ‘We Will Stop Femicide’ platform by Turkish prosecutors for being ‘against morality,’ whereby they say it ‘disintegrat[es] the family structure by ignoring the concept of the family under the guise of defending women’s rights’ (quoted from the Guardian).
In June, several hundred women protested agaisnt this initiative outside the court in June ( according to France24 ).
