Abortion website remains blocked

The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) maintains the blocking of the Women on Web website, which provides information and help to access abortion, despite a 2022 Supreme Court ruling in favour of a partial opening of the website where it provided information about abortion (while blocking the electronic access to medications not currently in free access). For the Women's Link lawyer which initiated the request in 2022, the blocking of the website represents a violation of the fundamental right to information and freedom of expression. The AEMPS explained that as long as technical difficulties prevent them from blocking certain pages and not others, the website will continue to be fully blocked.
