27 February 2021: During a protest organised by the Islamic Ennahda party, tens of journalists were subjected to harassment and attacks. This included 15 female journalists, three of whom claimed to have been subjected to sexual violence, according to Reporters without Borders (RSF). RSF noted that the attacks took place in view of the police and Ennahda party leaders, who failed to intervene, and stated that such attacks against female journalists are unprecedented in Tunisia.
