Morocco: Anti-feminist lobbying as Morocco revises Family Code

While a Moroccan commission is currently hearing civil society organisations, unions, and political parties in a process to revise the Family Code, lobbying by men's associations opposes feminist advancements. There include the « Moroccan Association for the Defense of the Rights of Men Victims of Women's Violence » and the « Moroccan Association for the Defense of the Rights of Fathers and Children ». The first advocates for maintaining polygamy and men's guardianship over property division after divorce. The second opposes equality in inheritance matters.
