Turkey’s Education Minister, Yusuf Tekin, announced that an optional course called ‘The Family in Turkish Society’ has been introduced to the school curriculum in order to help combat “LGBTIQ+values”. In an interview, Tekin stated authorities have a responsibility to “fight” homosexuality.
