1 May 2021

4 May 2021: Jordanian police arrested Syrian activist and former detainee Hasna Al-Hariri and moved her to a refugee camp, from which she fears she will be deported back to Syria.[1] It was reported that she had been told to stop “illegal activities”.[2] She had received an order to leave Jordan the previous month by the secret services, who said she was wanted by the Syrian regime.[3] She is known for being one of the few women to have spoken out about torture and instances of rape in Syrian prisons.
