Anti-LGBTIQ+ remarks by Asma al-Assad

As part of what the Guardians of Equality Movement describes as a "systematic strategy" of the Syrian regime, Asma al-Assad (Syria’s first lady), targeted the LGBTIA+ community in a public speech delivered in a university in China. She accused the community of acting as agents of "modern liberalism”, "tampering with human beings" and creating a "third gender".
