Feminist activists increasingly subject to cyberviolence

A July 2023 study by NGO #ShePersisted finds digital platforms (Facebook, X, and other social media) that once played a role in promoting equality and democracy in Tunisia have now become hubs for disinformation and misogyny, targeting and silencing feminist activists, especially opponents of President Kais Saied.
